Ann Tuennerman is founder of Tales of the Cocktail. Begun in 2002, Tales of the Cocktail is the world’s premier cocktail festival, bringing together the most respected talents in mixology and cocktail enthusiasts for a heady five-day celebration of cocktails, cuisine, and culture. Tales of the Cocktail developed out of a walking tour Ann created to showcase New Orleans' bars and restaurants and highlight the city's role in many popular cocktail recipes. As Ann notes: "At the time, I thought there was nothing that really told the story of all the famous drinks invented here." Ann describes several famous New Orleans cocktails, tells us about their creators, and explains how these drinks reflected the culture of the times. Listen here!
